BSE & CBE
Breast Self-Examination (BSE)
This Women’s Health Camp of UCU encourages “Self Examination”. Breast Self-examination (BSE): The first person to detect any lump is the woman herself. For this, it is essential that every woman be aware of the size and shape of breasts and should know when there is an abnormal change in any of these.
Clinical Breast Examination (CBE):
This can be performed by a physician, trained nurse or a health worker. It is recommended that women be examined for any lump in the breast when they have come for other reasons.
Regular Screening / Mammography:
This method delivers a small dose of radiation and conducts a soft tissue radiography. This technique allows for the detection of lesions as small as 1mm.
These Breast Detection Camps are regularly organized by United Club of Utorda for the benefit of all the females and women folk of village Utorda & beyond too. The basic health concern is to diagnose the disease at the first stage itself as breast cancer can be easily treated at the early onset.

Each donor is entitled to a donors card with an entitlement of one free bottle of blood of any group, hence most donors place their cards in the custody of the club,we in turn do not hesitate to help the citizens of Utorda with as many cards as required, in fact people from all our surrounding villages have come to know of this,we go out of our way to help them too,so with this project we have tremendously reduced the tension for want of blood of any group.
